Who?
Introduction time. I'm Maz, or Ian, it just depends... I hail from Bristol, UK and I tend to spend my time immersed in music. If I'm not teaching it or playing it, I'll be writing it or at least thinking about it. Sometimes I build stuff to make music with.

Well, the band has a name. After much dithering we decided on Trailer Park. Or I decided at any rate, theres only so many times you can have the same conversation! We played another gig last night, the first with all 5 original members. Just about to mix the recent recordings and then I'll get them uploaded. Till then...
Oh, and it's six days till I get my boat keys!

What do you mean it's been over a year... Let me fill you in then. That band the Hum, they split up, and now I've a new outfit that are currently getting their stuff together. In fact we've played about 4 low key gigs (open mic/parties/etc.) over the last month. No name yet though. Hope to get some recordings sorted soon so we can take on the larger venues (ie. those that can fit all 6 of us in and still have some room for an audience.)
In other news, I've just bought a freaking boat. Wa Hey! I'm leaving the city and living on the canal. Well excited and just a little scared. Ho hum. Anyway, I'll fill you in when I'm aboard, too much work to do before that.
So to recap, yep I'm lazy, it's been too long between posts and now it's gonna be even longer cos the internet ain't out at those parts...

Wow. Well the band I'm in played the ORANGE Bristol Community Festival at Ashton Court on the weekend and I just read the review. Worth a giggle, at least I know that all the hard work was worth it. I just thought I'd quote them here for you...
The Hum. This is horrible. Wannabe sun-kissed, lithesome grooves. Actually all slap bass, Flying V wah-wah, and innate chiller-than-thou smugness. Extraordinarily, it would appear that we're invited to dance.
Many thanks to the Venue for that. I feel honoured to have so obviously upset their delicate DailyMail employed ears. Also, I never knew I could play slap bass. Great...

After years of thinking about it, I've finally got round to starting a website.
Its mostly a place to post songs that I've been involved with. Check out the Music page for MP3s and info on the various bands involved. I'll try to add links where I can and as and when I get new stuff written it'll appear here.
